What More Do You Need?
In Acts 3, we see Peter and John encounter a man who had been lame since birth, begging outside the temple—excluded, overlooked, and dependent on ritual generosity. This man represents more than just one person; he mirrors the spiritual condition of many who are close to God’s presence yet disconnected from His power. When Peter heals him through faith in Jesus, it challenges the crowd’s assumptions. Their faith had become hollow, stuck in the past, rooted in history and ritual. They missed Jesus because they were only looking backward, not expecting God to act in the present. We’re called to a living faith that changes the way we see people, how we act, and how we trust God to move now. Peter’s message to repent isn't about shame; it's about hope. It's a call to turn from powerless faith and step into a faith that heals, restores, and moves mountains. The question we’re left with is simple: what difference does our faith actually make?
