The New Temple

We know that a church is more than just a building or a service — it’s a culture shaped by the people and their shared purpose. So we ask ourselves, what kind of culture do we want to have here, and more importantly, what culture did Jesus intend for His church? The early church in Acts shows us a model: a community empowered by the Holy Spirit, united in faith, held together by prayer, and committed to proclaiming the good news of Jesus. When God’s presence came upon the followers in Acts, it wasn’t just on a building but on each person, making them a new dwelling place of God. That changes everything — how we see ourselves, how we treat one another, and how we live out our faith. God’s Spirit empowers us to witness boldly, to live in unity, and to express His love in tangible ways, no matter our backgrounds. If we truly believe that, it should change how we live and interact, knowing that the same Spirit that filled the early church lives in us today.
