The Joy of Knowing the Truth

May 5, 2024

In Acts 5, we see how the early disciples, despite threats, imprisonment, and flogging, boldly kept proclaiming Jesus as the risen Messiah because they knew God’s authority outweighed anything people could do to them. They were filled with the Spirit, obedient, and willing to suffer, because they believed the message they carried was life-changing—literally bringing healing, freedom, and transformation. That same Spirit, same power, same purpose, and same God are with us today. So the question is: are we willing to submit to God's authority in our lives, even when it costs us? True surrender means trusting God to work in our hardships, speaking truth when it's uncomfortable, and believing that he still does the miraculous. If we humble ourselves, he'll lift us up—and that’s where real joy and purpose begin.
