Psalm 13: How Long?

Faith is not pretending everything is okay. Faith is bringing our deepest pain honestly before God. David's repeated question, "How long?" in Psalm 13 teaches us that seasons of silence and suffering are not evidence that God has abandoned us, but opportunities to pursue Him with even greater desperation. In those difficult moments, we have a choice: we can grumble and become consumed by our circumstances, or we can groan before God, trusting that He hears every cry and remains present even when we cannot feel Him. Like David, we can move from lament to worship, not because our situation has changed, but because we remember God's unfailing love and choose to place our trust in Him.
