It's Too Early to Be Drunk
February 25, 2024
Acts 2 invites us to consider the visible impact of our faith as we see the Holy Spirit poured out on the early church, empowering them to speak in different languages and boldly proclaim Jesus to people from many nations. Peter steps up to explain that this is not chaos or drunkenness, but the fulfillment of God’s ancient promises. He connects the crowd’s history, their role in Jesus’ crucifixion, and God’s redemptive plan, calling everyone to repentance and new life. The passage challenges us to stop ignoring or minimizing God’s work in our own lives and instead surrender to His Spirit, living in a way that clearly reflects who He is.
