I Will Be Honored
In this message, we reflect on how the early church in Acts responded to persecution and challenges with bold prayer and deep humility, relying completely on God's sovereignty. After Peter and John were threatened for preaching about Jesus, they didn’t shrink back—they prayed for more boldness and asked God to move powerfully through them. This boldness led to a generous and unified community, where people like Barnabas sold land and gave all the proceeds to the church. But then came the stark contrast of Ananias and Sapphira, who also sold land but lied about their motives, pretending to give everything while secretly holding back. The issue wasn’t the amount—they weren’t required to give it all—but their dishonesty before God, revealing divided hearts. God takes our motivations seriously. When we try to deceive Him or live with mixed motives, we block His power and presence in our lives. If we truly want God to move among us, we have to stop playing games and fully surrender—He wants all of us, not just what’s convenient.
