Compassion
In this message, we explore what it means to live out compassion in a real and practical way. As followers of Jesus, we are not just meant to gather in a church building; we are called to be the church, living out God’s purposes in the world. That begins by loving each other well within the church and then extends to how we love our neighbors. Everyone is made in God’s image, but it can be a challenge to view others not through political, cultural, or social filters but with the eyes of Christ. The story of the Good Samaritan shows us that love does not keep a safe distance; it draws near, gets involved, and takes action, even when it is inconvenient. We do not need to have all the answers or solve every problem; we just need to be willing to see people and respond with compassion, one need at a time.
