Acts 21

January 27, 2025

In Acts 21, we see an example of Paul’s suffering and unwavering faith as he moves toward Jerusalem, despite knowing the hardships ahead. Following Christ does not guarantee ease or worldly success but requires steadfastness in the face of trials. We need to evaluate our perspective on faith; genuine discipleship often involves sacrifice, opposition, and suffering. The early church struggled with maintaining unity amid differing views on Jewish traditions, which Paul navigates by prioritizing the gospel. As we also see in Ephesians and 1 Peter, we need to put on the armor of God, stand firm in faith, and adopt a Kingdom-focused lens, recognizing that spiritual strength and eternal hope come from God, even amidst worldly challenges.
